Scope of the club's activity:

Urology is the branch of surgery that deals with diseases of the genitourinary system in men and the urinary system in women. It covers diagnosis, prophylaxis and treatment, both surgical and conservative, of cancers of the genitourinary system, urolithiasis, benign prostatic hyperplasia, as well as urinary system infections, urinary incontinence or external genital disorders.

The Student Scientific Club of the Centre of Excellence in Urology brings together both students interested in carrying out scientific projects on broad urological topics and those interested in the surgical aspects of urology (laparoscopic, open and endoscopic surgery). The club's meetings discuss the latest scientific developments, progress on papers written by students, and organise workshops – including laparoscopy and ultrasound. Members of the club have the opportunity to enrich their scientific output, participate in conferences (including those of the Polish Urological Association), as well as visit the ward and expand their practical knowledge. The core of the club's scientific interests is uro-oncology, a branch of urology that deals with cancers of the genitourinary system: prostate cancer, bladder and upper urinary tract cancer, kidney cancer, as well as testicular and penile cancers.
