Developing a culture of quality in the didactic area by identifying and promoting good practices at the University and sharing experience between different units operating in the field of education quality in the country and abroad.

Coordinating activities which ensure high quality and innovation of the education process at all levels, and in all divisions, departments conducted at the University.

Conducting analyses of the quality of education and deriving target oriented recommendations for improvement based on the developed quantitative and qualitative indicators.

  1. Participation in the development and implementation of institutional frameworks, including internal legal acts, related to the functioning and development of the University's Education Quality Management System.
  2. Developing recommendations and providing support in implementing specific solutions at  the University regarding modern teaching methods in accordance with national and international best practices,  particularly in the area of:
  1. Collecting, processing (including statistical analysis) and providing authorized entities with data on the assessment of the quality of education at the University, particularly student evaluations of classes and teachers (OZiKA), professional internships and study environment.
  2. Preparation of data for the purposes of institutional and programme evaluations of the Polish Accreditation Committee and other domestic and international accreditation institutions, as well as the analysis of the results of the completed evaluations. Preparing reports for the POLON system, Ministry of Science and Higher Education (MEiN), Ministry of Health (MZ) and other units.
  3. Evaluation of the education process conducted at the University at all levels and in all departments.
  4. Providing data for other organisational entities at  Wroclaw Medical University  to promote departments, develop recruitment strategies and prepare data for Polish and international academic rankings of universities.
  5. Engaging in outreach activities regarding the quality of education through, among others, running a website, organizing training, seminars and conferences on the quality of education.
  6. Administrative support for the University structures of the Internal Education Quality Assurance System.
  7. administration of the University Question Bank
  8. handling of electronic and paper tests 
  9. coordination of the process of standardization of practical exams, including the implementation of OSCE exams at the University
  10. collecting and analysing data related to the verification of the learning outcomes of students across all faculties, departments and divisions, particularly subject pass rates and exam pass rates, semester/year retake rates, and pass rates for final and diploma exams.
  11. Implementing and developing the system for improving learning outcomes verification methods through:
  12. developing e-learning standards and regulations and the furtherance and monitoring of their application,
  13. administering e-learning Platform at the University,
  14. providing internal training for faculty members in the use of online learning systems and online teaching methods,
  15. optimising remote learning processes in cooperation with the University’s research and teaching units, along with the adaptation to the individual needs of the units,
  16. monitoring and evaluation of on-line learning processes.
  17. Standardizing the system of organization and creation of documentation of the course of study, particularly the process of developing and modifying study programmes, learning outcomes matrices, syllabuses, and subject regulations.
  18. Monitoring the number of teaching staff and their required competences and other resources necessary for the implementation of the education process, including the premises, IT and library  infrastructure  and necessary equipment in terms of their adaptation to the needs of the education process, taking into account the number of all students and the specifics of a given faculty.
  19. Supporting and popularising different forms of on-line education by means of:
  20. providing a comprehensive range of learning opportunities for students within the framework of the Independent Study Model using modern information technologies which provide  access to medical databases, magazines and books as well as to e-learning materials,
  21. conducting interactive theoretical classes in modern lecture and training rooms that have cutting-edge equipment allowing to conduct classes with the use of multimedia teaching aids and live streaming of medical treatments and procedures from the University’s teaching hospitals and other clinical affiliates, 
  22. practical skills training, particularly with regard to  providing emergency medical care using modern patient simulators, manikins and training models.
