Student Vocational Internship

Vocational Internship at the Faculty of Medicine

A full-time hospital training is obligatory during the summer holidays (July-September), starting after the first year of studies and proceeding throughout the next five years. This practice may be performed in your own country or in any other country (according to Regulation no. 28/XV R/2020 of the Rector of the Medical University in Wrocław regarding organization of students' internships).

IMPORTANT! VOCATIONAL INTERNSHIP
All students, who wish to do a vocational internship in Poland, need to have:
- a valid health certificate (issued by a physician from Poland),
- a sanitary and epidemiological certificate,
- the Hepatitis B vaccination (all 3 doses),
- an accident insurance.

Students who do not meet these requirements will not be allowed to do an internship in Poland.
 
FORMS:

The deadline for a consent to organize an internship on your own, based on the submitted request, is possible only until 31st March 2023.

The Vocational Internship for students of the Medical University of Wroclaw is organized by the University in accordance with the Regulation No. 28/XV R/2020 of the Rector of the Medical University of Wroclaw of 29 January 2020, as amended, during the summer holiday in Poland, in health care units, which the University has signed contracts or agreements with.
The University does not sign any other agreements.
As part of the agreement, the University provides students with a civil liability insurance (OC), while students must purchase an accident insurance individually (NNW).

Those, who have completed the required internships, may submit completed legibly and signed internship programmes for the academic year 2022/2023 till  30th September 2023.
The basis for the credit for the internship is a certificate of completion including: the date and the place of the internship, the stamp of the unit where the internship took place, the stamp and the signature of the person completing the internship.

Please note that the internship programmes can be taken by students who have a valid medical examination and a current sanitary-epidemiological book. In case of doubts concerning the validity date of the above mentioned examinations, please check with the person responsible for the given year in the office hours of the Dean's Office. You may also obtain a referral for the examinations via e-mail.
