  1. Ensuring representation of the University before courts of all instances, public and local government authorities and offices (including legal representation).

  2. Providing legal assistance, preparing opinions and providing legal advice, explanations and interpretations of legal provisions for the proper performance of duties by collegiate and single-member bodies and organisational units of the University.

  3. Providing opinions about and approving, in terms of compliance with the law, all documents that have legal consequences in the area of the University's activities, including contracts and agreements concluded by the University with external entities and internal legal acts, in particular: Orders, Resolutions of collegiate bodies, regulations, procedures, decisions issued by single-member bodies.

  4. Providing information upon enquiries from the University Authorities on the current legal status and its changes and possible consequences in areas relevant to the University.

  5. Providing legal support to the University's Senate, University Council, Discipline Councils and Senate Committees, including attendance at meetings.

  6. Legal supervision of the collection of debts owed to the University.

  7. Providing advice on the application and interpretation of the law, in particular administrative law, labour law and compliance with the Labour Code.

  8. Providing legal support in matters arising from the Rector's supervision of the activities of the clinical hospital and other entities for which the University is the founding or ownership body or in which it holds shares.

  9. Providing legal support in negotiations and settlement proceedings involving the University, including attendance at meetings.
