From Poland to the USA

International Student Council, arranged a seminar on 8th June 2024, in the Library of Wroclaw Medical University, for students interested in applying for residency in the United States after graduation.

The seminar was conducted by Dr. Diana Flis, an alumnus of Wroclaw Medical University, from the graduating year of 2010, who currently works as a plastic and aesthetic surgeon in the State of Michigan. This informative seminar covered all the steps, from preparing for USMLE to becoming a resident in the USA, giving the participants an insight so that they can make their career path accordingly and start preparing for it. Dr. Flis also provided useful resources to the participants to guide them through the process.

The seminar ended with a discussion and subsequent questions where participants could directly query Dr. Fils and clarify concerns they had regarding the residency programme in the USA.
