Orientation Day at Wroclaw Medical University

During this year’s 'Orientation Day,' we warmly welcomed nearly 140 first-year students who have joined the English Division of the Medical Faculty at Wrocław Medical University. These students come from all corners of the world, beginning their English-language studies here in Wrocław. They have traveled from countries, such as: Nigeria, Tunisia, the USA, Sweden, Algeria, Ukraine, Cyprus, the Philippines, Chile, Slovakia, Moldova, Taiwan, Jordan, Sudan, the United Arab Emirates, Turkey, Syria, India, Pakistan, Myanmar, Germany, Norway, the Seychelles, Ireland, the United Kingdom, Egypt, Iran, and Canada.

In the lecture hall of the Collegium Anatomicum, prof. Katarzyna Neubauer, the Vice-Dean for English studies at the Medical Faculty of UMW,  welcomed the new students and shared the words: 'The decision to pursue studies abroad reflects the courage and openness of our young scholars, qualities we deeply value within our academic community. The English Division often brings together diverse perspectives, creating a rich environment for both teaching and learning.'

Furthermore, Dr. Zygmunt Domagała, the tutor of the first-year English Division students, extended his congratulations on their receipt of student IDs and assured them of his continued support. University staff also delved into important organisational matters, while students from the International Student Council present during the "Orientation Day" introduced a mentoring program for their incoming peers.
