Join the UMW cycling team

Dear employees, dear students, will you join our team? As part of the next, fourth edition of the "In a circle I spin" campaign, we are extending the cycling season and collecting points - for ourselves and for our university. It's time to stand on the highest podium.

"I'm going round in circles" is a competition aimed at promoting the bicycle as a cheap, fast, ecological and independent means of transportation and encouraging Wroclaw residents to choose two wheels on their way to work or university. 

The 4th edition of the campaign will begin on Monday, October 2, and end on Thursday, November 30. There are two months of joint cycling ahead. Particularly rewarded will be kilometers driven between home and - in our case - UMW campuses, as well as regular rides. Starting November 20, the points awarded will be counted twice.

How do you get involved in an event?

The competition takes place in the free mobile application "In a circle I spin" (the new version will be available from October 1 in Google Play or Apple Store). we download the application for a phone with Android/IOSre-register on the website >>select the starting place and destination of the commute

Note: When registering, it is necessary to indicate that we are from UMW, provide the address of residence and the address of the place where we work/study (the application needs this data to know when we cover the route home - university - home). That's it, then we just get on the bikes and collect points for the kilometers traveled.Information about the basic rules of scoring, application settings and regulations can be found here >>.

Remember safety, we shoot miles with our heads and always ride with a helmet!

For those who score the most points for UMW, we have prepared prizes - sets of university gadgets. In addition, every week, among those who send a photo of themselves on a bicycle (necessarily wearing a helmet on their head) to komunikacja@umw.edu.pl, we will draw one to receive a surprise prize.

During the spring edition of the campaign, we collectively rode 5656 km, which put us on the podium. In the bicycle rivalry of eight registered universities in Wroclaw, we wrung a silver medal. Now we are fighting for gold!
