Ministry of Health grant

Good news for the UMW Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry on the threshold of the new academic year: there will be an additional 24 dental unity and 22 laboratory tables! Funds for the purchase of this equipment come from a grant from the Ministry of Health. A symbolic check for the retrofitting of teaching infrastructure worth nearly PLN 3.5 million was handed over to UMW by Health Minister Katarzyna Sójka during the inauguration of the 2023/24 academic year.

In her speech, Minister Katarzyna Sójka congratulated the authorities of the Medical University of Wroclaw on successful projects that are important for health care in the region. She mentioned the establishment of a branch in Walbrzych, the Integrated Pediatric Center project and the Regional Center for Digital Medicine, which was highly rated in the ABM competition.

The Health Minister also addressed UMW students with her best wishes for the new academic year:

- By choosing to pursue these studies, you have taken on an ambitious challenge. I wish you to have the enthusiasm and energy to grow; to be able to take advantage of the many areas of beautiful medicine, which is to serve the other person. I wish that, being doctors, you do not fall into a routine and always "feel" the patient, treating him or her as if you yourself wanted to be treated," she said.
