Dr Robert Prill: Evidence-Synthesis in Healthcare

We wtorek, 5 grudnia dr Robert Prill, niemiecki naukowiec, nauczyciel akademicki i fizjoterapeuta odwiedzi Uniwersytet Medyczny we Wrocławiu. Podczas wizyty wygłosi wykład "Evidence-Synthesis in Healthcare".

Spotkanie odbędzie się w ramach zajęć "Metodologia badań naukowych", organizowanych dla doktorantów Szkoły Doktorskiej UMW, ale udział w nim mogą wziąć wszystkie osoby zainteresowane tematem.

Dr Robert Prill z Centrum Ortopedii i Traumatologii szpitala uniwersyteckiego w Brandenburgii oraz Brandenburg Medical School Theodor Fontane posiada wieloletnie doświadczenie w pracy jako naukowiec, nauczyciel akademicki oraz fizjoterapeuta. Jest przewodniczącym Rehabilitation Committee w European Society for Sports Traumatology, Knee Surgery and Arthroscopy (ESSKA). 

Organizator i wykładowca kursów współtworzonych przez ESSKA oraz czasopisma Knee Surgery, Sports Traumatology, Arthroscopy (KSSTA) i Journal of Experimental Orthopaedics (JEO), dedykowanych tworzeniu przeglądów systematycznych i meta-analiz oraz przygotowaniu, prowadzeniu i raportowaniu badań naukowych. Był m.in. koordynatorem międzynarodowego projektu Evidence Implementation in Clinical Practice, realizowanego w ramach Erasmus+ Strategic Partnerships.

Dr Robert Prill kieruje także centrum Evidence Based Practice in Brandenburg: A JBI Affiliated Group, należącym do globalnej sieci JBI Collaboration. Jej celem jest promowanie opieki zdrowotnej opartej na dowodach naukowych. JBI Affiliated Groups wspiera transfer wiedzy i jej praktyczne wykorzystanie. Tym samym centrum Evidence Based Practice in Brandenburg skupia się na działaniach wdrożeniowych we współpracujących z nim podmiotach leczniczych. 

W ramach wykładu "Evidence-Synthesis in Healthcare" dr Robert Prill omówi cele, zasady oraz metody syntezy dowodów naukowych dostępnych w piśmiennictwie, a dodatkowo opowie o procesie praktycznego korzystania z dowodów naukowych.

Dr Robert Prill is the head of research at the Center Orthopaedics and Traumatology at the University Hospital Brandenburg an der Havel, Brandenburg Medical School Theodor Fontane in Brandenburg, Germany. He has extensive experience as a researcher, academic teacher, and physiotherapist. He is the chair of the Rehabilitation Committee at the European Society for Sports Traumatology, Knee Surgery, and Arthroscopy (ESSKA). He is also an organizer and lecturer for courses developed by ESSKA and the journals Knee Surgery, Sports Traumatology, Arthroscopy (KSSTA), and Journal of Experimental Orthopaedics (JEO), dedicated to systematic reviews and meta-analyses, as well as the preparation, conduct, and reporting of scientific research. He has served as a coordinator for, among other projects, the international project Evidence Implementation in Clinical Practice, carried out within the framework of Erasmus+ Strategic Partnerships.
Dr Prill is the director of the Evidence-Based Practice Center in Brandenburg: A JBI Affiliated Group, belonging to the global network of JBI Collaboration, aiming to promote and support evidence-based healthcare. JBI Affiliated Groups are tasked with promoting and supporting the synthesis, transfer, and implementation of scientific evidence into practice. Thus, the Evidence-Based Practice Center in Brandenburg focuses on implementation activities in collaboration with partnering medical entities. In his "Evidence-Synthesis in Healthcare" lecture, dr Prill will primarily discuss the goals, principles, and methods of synthesizing scientific evidence in the literature. Additionally, the process of implementing scientific evidence into practice will be addressed.
