Ocena Zajęć i Kadry Akademickiej OZiKA

We encourage you to read  the Rector's Order No. 13/XVIR/2023 of January 30, 2023, as amended, which regulates the method of evaluating classes and academic staff (Text in Polish).

The basic changes are as follows:

Extended assessment scope:

The following are assessed:

•  persons conducting classes, i.e. academic teachers of Wroclaw Medical University, doctoral students and other persons conducting classes,
•  organization of classes.

New tool – pilot study

The assessment survey consists of three sections: Section 1 – Respondent’s particulars; Section 2 –  Evaluation of the lecturer; Section 3 - Evaluation of the organization of classes (subject).

 

In order to improve the assessment process and the processing of the obtained results, the existing "SONA Survey Generator" has been replaced with an application dedicated to our University: "Power Apps – OZiKA". The survey for the winter and summer semesters is carried out on a pilot basis. Adjustments and improvements will be implemented subsequent to the evaluation of the assessment  process.

 

THE ADVANTAGES OF THE NEW TOOL:

FOR THE FACULTY

1. time saving – no need to generate links to surveys, no need to send links to surveys to students
2. enabling assessment – all teachers conducting classes can be assessed
3. care for the environment – a new formula for reporting results results  allows to send them automatically by email
4. easier access to the assessment results – thanks to the fully computerized process of elaborating the results of the assessment, the academic teacher will have access to the results of his/her assessment for the purposes of periodic assessment or promotion proceedings.
5. the opportunity to win a prize in the "Teaching Leaders" competition

 

FOR THE STUDENTS:

1. time saving – no need to search the university e-mail in order to find links to surveys
2. convenience – you can run the application on your PC, smartphone or tablet, you can evaluate all teachers and classes during one login session
3. anonymity
4. chance to enter a prize draw
5. the opportunity to submit your candidate for the award in the "Teaching Leaders" competition

 

 

FOR HEADS OF ORGANIZATIONAL UNITS AND UNIVERSITY EDUCATIONAL QUALITY STRUCTURES:

1. time saving – facilitation for the heads of units, removal of the obligation to prepare a report on the results of assessment
2. clear reports – an automated process of processing and presenting results
3. faster reaction – making decisions based on the results of assessments and diagnosed needs
4. care for the environment – a new formula for reporting results  allows to send them automatically by email
5. the future of the solution is to streamline the circulation of documentation regarding the presentation of students assessment results for periodic assessments and promotions
