Visit of Professor Hossein Ardehali
We are pleased to announce that in days 05-09 May 2014 Wroclaw Medical University will host Prof. Hossein Ardehali, Associate Professor in Medicine-Cardiology and Molecular Pharmacology and Biological Chemistry at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. Professor Ardehali and his Laboratory (
http://labs.feinberg.northwestern.edu/ardehali/) are leading scientific team working the mechanisms of iron regulation at cellular and mitochondrial level. Being a recognized researcher, Professor is a member of several scientific communities and societies, Fellow of American Heart Association, American College of Cardiology, author and co-author of 60 papers published in peer-reviewed journals, including
PNAS and
Cell Metabolism. Being a Visiting Professor of Department of Heart Diseases, Professor will have classes and lectures with students during his visit.
We kindly invite all physicians, scientists, doctoral candidates and students of Wroclaw Medical University to an open lecture of Professor Ardehali entitled „Regulation of Mitochondrial and Cellular Iron in the Heart”, which will be held on May 7th (venue: John Paul II Auditorium, Borowska street).
Additionally, we invite all ED students to Professor’s lecture in cardiology for medical students (5th year) entitled „Management of hypertension. Antiarrhytmics” which will be held May 7th at 4 PM (venue: John Paul II Auditorium, Borowska street).
