Discover Our BIP | Nanotechnology & Digital Innovations in Periodontal Regeneration

 Blended Intensive Program (BIP) “Nanotechnology and Digital Innovations in Periodontal Regeneration: Where Research Meets Clinical Innovation”, an innovative learning experience designed for undergraduate Dental Medicine students in their clinical years.

🎯 Why participate?

This interdisciplinary intensive program offers a unique opportunity to explore how cutting-edge nanotechnology and digital tools are transforming periodontal regeneration. By bridging applied research with clinical practice, students will gain valuable insight into digital planning, advanced therapeutic strategies, and real clinical innovation in an international academic environment.

What the program offers:

  • Interactive seminars using active learning methodologies
  • Hands-on laboratory experience (wet labs)
  • Chairside observation of advanced regenerative dental procedures
  • Development of scientific, digital, and transversal skills essential for future dental professionals

📅 Dates and Format

  • Online component: June 16–18, 2026
  • On-site component: June 22–26, 2026

🌍 An international experience

Beyond the academic component, participants will engage in a vibrant social program, promoting intercultural exchange and networking with students and faculty from multiple countries, while discovering Porto — a UNESCO World Heritage city renowned for its culture, history, and lifestyle.

Faculty of Dental Medicine of the University of Porto (FMDUP), Porto, Portugal 

💰 Costs

Participation is free of charge for Dental Medicine students with active enrolment in the academic year.

📜🏅 Accreditation / Certification

  • Continuing education certificate from the University of Porto – 3 ECTS credits
  • Recognition through inclusion in the Diploma Supplement

👥 Participants

  • Estimated number of students: 15
  • Teaching staff: 20 professors and researchers from Portugal, Norway, Italy, Lithuania, Germany, and Brazil
