Our students at a conference in Warsaw
Students from both the English Division – Nursing program and the Polish Division – Nursing represented our University at the national "Cardiovascular Prevention & Intervention" conference held in Warsaw.
The event brought together nursing students, academics, and healthcare professionals from not only across Poland, providing an excellent platform for exchanging knowledge and sharing best practices in cardiovascular nursing, prevention, and patient care.
During the conference, students from both divisions met, shared experiences, and discussed ideas for future collaboration. Our students also participated in a special workshop, “Maximising Success in Publishing Research Papers,” led by Professor Mark Hayter, Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Clinical Nursing. The interactive session offered valuable insights into scientific writing, peer review, and strategies for successful publication in international journals.
Participants included members of the Student Research Club "Emergency Nursing" (SKN Emergency Nursing), who are actively engaged in promoting evidence-based practice and emergency care education.
Their participation was supported by Mr. Krystian Pustelak, MSc — academic tutor of the English Division Nursing students and scientific supervisor of SKN Emergency Nursing.
We would like to express our sincere gratitude to the leadership of our Faculty, especially Prof. Izabella Uchmanowicz, Dean of the Faculty of Nursing and Midwifery, for her continuous dedication to the scientific development of both students and staff. We also thank Dr. Grzegorz Kubielas, Vice-Dean for Students, and Prof. Michał Czapla for their support and encouraging words addressed to our students.
Initiatives like this strengthen the bridge between theory and clinical practice, inspiring the next generation of nurses to actively engage in research, innovation, and teamwork.
