Student Research Group of Evidence-Based Healthcare

We are pleased to announce the launch of the Student Research Group of Evidence-Based Healthcare at the University Centre of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation, Faculty of Physiotherapy, Wroclaw Medical University.

This interdisciplinary initiative is open to students from all faculties across the university. Thanks to the diversity of academic backgrounds and research interests among its members, the group offers a vibrant environment for collaborative, cross-disciplinary learning and idea exchange.

Mission and Activities

The group’s mission is to deepen students’ knowledge and enhance practical skills in evidence-based healthcare, with a particular emphasis on systematic review methodology. It aims to create a space for critical discussion and scientific learning based on reliable evidence while fostering an informed and research-driven approach to patient care.

Leadership Team

Natalia Urban – Chair, 4th-year student of physiotherapy (in the middle of the picture)

Klara Andrzejczak – Vice-Chair, 5th-year student of medicine

Wiktor Witkowski – Secretary, 5th-year student of medicine

The group will collaborate with Evidence-Based Healthcare in Wroclaw: A JBI Affiliated Group, providing students with valuable opportunities to develop research competencies and participate in international initiatives.

Supervisors

First Supervisor: Dr hab. Aleksandra Królikowska, university professor – Convenor of Evidence-Based Healthcare in Wroclaw: A JBI Affiliated Group, Proxy of the Rector of Wroclaw Medical University for Evidence-Based Healthcare in Wroclaw, Head of the Physiotherapy Research Laboratory.

Second Supervisor: Dr hab. Anna Kołcz, university professor – Member of Evidence-Based Healthcare in Wroclaw: A JBI Affiliated Group, Head of the Medical Education and Simulation Laboratory and University Centre of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation.

We wish the newly established group and all involved students great success in achieving their academic goals and many inspiring experiences as they explore the field of evidence-based healthcare.
