Dr hab. Anna Kołcz is a university professor and heads the Medical Education and Simulation Laboratory and the University Centre for Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation at the Faculty of Physiotherapy, Wroclaw Medical University in Poland. She is also the Dean of the Faculty of Physiotherapy.

Her research, academic teaching, and professional practice as a physiotherapist focus on developing and utilizing objective methods for diagnosing, monitoring, and evaluating patients and workers in the healthcare sector with musculoskeletal disorders. Areas of her interest are also neurophysiological fundamentals of motor control, physioprophylaxis, prevention of musculoskeletal disorders, body weight assessment, ergonomics of work and movement, and medical education. Academic activity focuses on improving the quality of medical education.

Anna serves as the Rector's Proxy for the Quality of Education. Since 2017, she has been the Secretary of the specialist group focusing on pre-diploma training at the National Council of Physiotherapists.

Main Scientific Achievements

  • 2024-2025 Team member of the bilateral project between Poland and Germany co-financed by the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA). The project titled Advancements in Back to Sport Decision-Making for Patients after Knee Anterior Cruciate Ligament Reconstruction aims to analyze changes in the strength of the knee joint muscles of the uninvolved limb in this group of patients.
