The National Accreditation Council for Schools of Nurses and Midwives (KRASPiP)

The National Accreditation Council for Schools of Nurses and Midwives is affiliated with the Minister of Health.

Each university that wants to offer studies in nursing or midwifery must obtain accreditation from the Minister of Health. The minister makes a decision based on the recommendation of the National Accreditation Council for Schools of Nurses and Midwives.

The KRASzPiP tasks are:

  1. assessing whether a university applying for accreditation for nursing or midwifery departments  meets the educational standards set out in the regulations;
  2. carrying out site visits of teaching institutions and checking their learning outcomes to ensure that they meet educational standards;
  3. submitting applications to the Minister of Health for accreditation or its withdrawal if the facility does not meet educational standards.
