We all have impact on the quality of education at our University. We explain it in detail here. However, there are certain positions within the structure of our University which pertain in a special way to the process of education quality management because of the tasks they have been entrusted with in University regulations. You can read here who is who at the University. Below, we will focus on indicating the areas of activity of individual functionaries in the field of education quality:

Rector: supervises teaching and research activities of the University and takes action to ensure proper conditions for its functioning ( Art. 36 of Wroclaw Medical University Statute). Rector is therefore the most important person responsible for the quality of education. He is also, or perhaps above all, a person who inspires action and creates directions for development in the area of ​​quality.

Vice-Rector for Educational Affairs – the goals of the person performing this function, specified in the Organisational Regulations, are:

• providing assurance on high quality of education, effective organization of the educational process and professional student service;
• ensuring that Wroclaw Medical University achieve high rating position in the process of evaluation of the quality of teaching.

Vice-Rector for Educational Affairs therefore supervises all activities undertaken to constantly improve quality standards.

Rector’s Plenipotentiary for the Quality of Education – a person responsible for implementing and improving quality standards of education. This person also supervises operational activities at the faculties and reports to the Vice-Rector for Educational Affairs. The Rector's Plenipotentiary for the Quality of Education is the head of the University structures of the Education Quality Management System.

Deans – in accordance with the provisions of the Statute, they supervise the improvement of the education quality process at their faculties (Art. 67, point 20 of the Statute of Wroclaw Medical University). Deans are assisted by Department Quality Assurance Team, which are appointed by a Dean’s Order.

Department Quality Assurance Teams are collegial structures consisting of several sub-assemblies, each of which is responsible for the functioning and improvement of quality standards in a specific area.

Tutors – they participate in the process of preparing a detailed class schedule and supervises all students of a given year in matters related to the course of study. A full description of tutors’ tasks and responsibilities can be found here.
